Setting Up Two-Factor Authentication

Illustration for LumoPages Help: Setting Up Two-Factor Authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second step after your password so only you can sign in. You can enable Google Authenticator (or any TOTP app), email codes, or both.

Enable authenticator (TOTP)

  1. Go to Account ManagementSecurity.
  2. Under Authenticator, choose Enable.
  3. Scan the QR code with Google Authenticator, Authy, or a similar app (or enter the secret manually).
  4. Enter the 6-digit code from the app to confirm.
  5. Save your one-time recovery codes in a safe place — they are shown only once.

Enable email codes

  1. In the same Security section, enable Email verification codes.
  2. Confirm with the code we send to your account email.

You can use email alone, authenticator alone, or both. At login you will pick a method if more than one is enabled.

Signing in with 2FA

  1. Enter your email and password as usual (or continue with Google).
  2. When prompted, enter a code from your authenticator app, your email, or a recovery code.

Disable 2FA

Disabling a method requires your password and a valid code from that method. Keep at least one recovery code if you might lose your phone.
